Margaret Whitehair

Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC/S, ATR-BC, KAP provider, and EMDRIA Certified Therapist.

Being a responsible adult and managing all the demands of your day to day life can take a toll on your energy and mood. Many of us, even those who “should be OK, and have it all” get by with a bare minimum of reserve and just function or survive. I want to help you get to “thrive”, to free up that energy that is locked in the past, in the stories we tell ourselves that are not updated with our strengths and growth, and our difficulties and traumas. This will allow you be more present in the day to day and have a fuller, more joyful life.

As a therapist, I often liken my approach to “snorkeling”, for example when you need to get things in order or want short-term solution-focused therapy. Or we can go “scuba diving”, for example, looking into your history, roots, family, and past experiences. Or we can do both, depending on what you need at the time.

Understanding the why’s, the patterns and dynamics we have with ourselves and others can help us better face the day-to-day challenges. I want to support you, listen and create a safe environment where you can fully be you and also move towards the you, you want to become. Tools that I can use include EMDR , Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, Art therapy, and being bilingual.

How I Practice

Healing happens in relationship—and in the space between what we can say and what we feel. My work is grounded in attachment theory, nervous system awareness, and the thoughtful integration of Art Therapy, EMDR, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy.

  • Safety, attunement, and presence create the foundation for change. Healing unfolds in the relational space between us.

  • I work with how your nervous system holds experience—honoring symbolic, sensory, and adaptive processing alongside insight and language.

  • I weave together Art Therapy, EMDR, and KAP in ways that support your readiness and process—never forcing a rigid path.

  • Structure and flexibility coexist here. We move at the pace that feels right for you, with trust and preparation guiding the way.
